Hosted delegates from CCPIT and CCOIC
14 December 2023
On December 14, 2023, Singapore Hainan Business Chamber (HBC) hosted delegates from China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC). It was a productive and fruitful meeting.
During the encounter, 35 representatives from CCPIT, CCOIC, and HBC came together to exchange ideas and formally sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) focusing on Trade, Investment, and Economic Cooperation. The agreement is built upon a long-term, two-way exchange platform, emphasizing regular updates on economic and policy matters. The MOU also extends support and assistance in areas such as Legal and Policy Advice and Business Help. It takes effect upon signing, with provisions for termination requiring prior notice.
The session included a dynamic exchange between the visiting delegates and local business owners, leading to a fruitful questions and answers session. As we look ahead, we anticipate the growth of business collaborations leading up to 2025, a pivotal year when Hainan aims to become the world’s largest free trade port.
