HBC Business trip to Guangzhou, 17-21 September 2023

A delegation led by Mr. Dato’ Sri James Foo, Vice Presidents of the Singapore Hainan Chamber of Commerce, visited the Hainan Wan Ning Chamber of Commerce in Guangdong and San Chuantian Culture and Technology Co., Ltd. in Guangzhou on September 17-21, 2023. The purpose was to enhance business connections between China and Singapore, promote commerce between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Hainan Free Trade Port, and Southeast Asia, and explore post-pandemic collaboration opportunities between maritime businesses in Singapore and Guangdong. President Weng Wenxi warmly welcomed the delegation, recalling their support during the Chamber of Commerce's inaugural board meeting celebration.

The visit included a tour of the Chamber of Commerce's headquarters and detailed briefings on its operations. President Weng also showcased San Chuantian Company's latest technologies and business endeavors. At an evening banquet, Mr. Dato’ Sri James Foo expressed gratitude for the warm reception, highlighting the visit's importance in fostering cooperation, cultural exchange, and economic ties between the two regions.

This visit was part of a broader itinerary that included visits to other Hainan chambers of commerce and technology companies, symbolizing a significant step in strengthening China-Singapore economic relations.
